The Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team has had a great run over the last few years. Yes, 2017-2018 was a bit disappointing, but given the amount of injuries the Irish sustained before ACC play began, their run was still quite admirable.
Their play is paying off on the recruiting circuit, and Mike Brey just signed the 14th ranked class in the country. Brey and the Irish are looking to continue to capitalize on that recruiting momentum, and have targeted several blue-chip prospects for the 2019 class. One of those players is 5 Star forward, Isaiah Stewart, from Rochester, New York. Stewart is the number 8 ranked player in the country according to 247 Sports.
Stewart is wanted by everyone in the country — most notably: the Michigan State Spartans, Texas Longhorns, Villanova Wildcats, Duke Blue Devils, Indiana Hoosiers, and many more. Stewart recently released a Top 10, and the Irish made the cut:

Now, according to Irish Sports Daily, Stewart will visit Mike Brey and Notre Dame on Thursday this week.
Notre Dame has become a very serious player in this recruitment. The stakes are huge for the Irish. If they could get a commitment from a player like this, not only will it help set the future on the court, but it could very well help with their recruitment of other high profile players.
