The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are coming off of a huge recruiting weekend that saw them host eight official visits. That weekend is already paying off as 4 Star guard, Zeke Correll, commits to the Irish.

The 6’4” 272 pounder from Cincinnati Ohio had stacks on stacks of offers from around the country. He had just visited the Stanford Cardinal the weekend before his visit to Notre Dame, and he was scheduled to visit the Ohio State Buckeyes next weekend. I have not seen (yet) any confirmation that he has cancelled his visit to the Bucks.
Besides Ohio State and Stanford, he had notable offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Wisconsin Badgers, and so many more. Notre Dame has been the perceived favorite for a while now, and even though the in-state Buckeyes were a legitimate threat, Cincinnati is about as pro-ND as it gets in the state.
Now... here’s where it gets interesting: ZEKE CORRELL IS GOING TO PLAY CENTER. I love it.
“I’m going to play center and I will early enroll, so if I early enroll and come in at center, Sam Mustipher will be gone next year — he’s a true senior. So if I come in and work hard at it, I have the potential chance to get in so I’m looking forward to learning the position.”
Correll is the 14th commitment of the 2019 class, and his pledge has vaulted the Irish to the #4 overall ranking according to the 247 Sports Composite team rankings. Not bad for a recruiting class still lacking a commitment at an offensive skill position.
