The Notre Dame Fighting Irish really want a quarterback in the 2019 class. While they are still recruiting 4 Star Graham Mertz really hard (committed to the Wisconsin Badgers) they have decided to expand their offer board.
Brendon Clark, a 3 Star quarterback from Midlothian, Virginia recently decommitted from the Wake Forest Demon Deacons but now holds a committable offer from the Irish.

Clark was an Elite 11 finalist and he will take an official visit to Notre Dame this weekend. Brendon visited the Clemson Tigers last weekend, and it was after that visit when Clark re-opened his recruitment.
Clark has a decision date set for the 4th of July and besides the Tigers and Irish, he is also considering the Virginia Tech Hokies, Tennessee Volunteers, and North Carolina Tar Heels.
With that date set, we should know more about Notre Dame’s chances with Mertz within the next few weeks. Besides Mertz and Clark, I think Notre Dame’s next move could be with Georgia quarterback Zack Calzada.
Certainly things are about to get a lot more interesting moving forward, and for Notre Dame, they really need to get some momentum going on the offensive side of the ball. Linemen are lining up, but they still have no commitments from an offensive skill player. Once the quarterback domino falls, maybe that changes everything.
