Alright y’all... we are 94 days to kickoff for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and instead of just posting a random picture of whatever with a number, you’re going to get a chance to dive even deeper into my everyday thoughts.
It’s not always going to be pretty, and you have to remember: these are just random streams of thought and in no way should constitute a firm belief or ideology (mostly).
GOODNIGHT SWEETHEART
CBS has announced that the October 27 meeting between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Navy Midshipmen will be an 8 P.M. EST game. The game is scheduled to be played in San Diego at the San Diego County Credit Union Stadium.
WHY?!
Well... since the game is being played on the west coast (a rarity for this series) the preferred kickoff time of NOON EST isn’t possible. Even a 3:30 kickoff would be a hinderance to both teams and their travel parties. But mostly it’s so CBS can get a few more eyeballs with the “attractive” prime time slot.
Notre Dame and Navy last played in Prime Time in 2014 with the game being played at FedEx Field.

This is technically a “home” game for the Midshipmen, but as with ALL the years that Navy is the home team — it won’t be in Annapolis. So, pretty much everything to do with the game is out of Notre Dame’s control (although I’m certain they are consulted).
Mostly, I’m all... BUT I DON’T WANNA!
I don’t want to wait around all day for a night game between Navy. At least, thank god, these things usually fly by due to Navy’s insistence on the running game (what’s wrong with those guys?)
This only adds to the absolute ridiculousness of the Notre Dame football schedule from this game to the end of the season. One more long trip that will help beat down this team for our favorite time of the year, November.
I think it sucks and I demand a refund.
