The Notre Dame Fighting Irish got the pledge of another of its top prospects on their recruiting board when Georgia safety, Kyle Hamilton, committed to Notre Dame on Tuesday.
Very excited to announce that I am committed to The University of Notre Dame! Thank you to everyone that has helped me get to this point. Go Irish☘️! #FightClub19 pic.twitter.com/W3KHvNPZjC

Hamilton is another “3 Star prospect” with the offer list of a 5 Star player - and the Irish are treating him as such, because they love what Hamilton brings to the table. He was a first team all-state player in Georgia last year, and his frame, speed, and athleticism is exactly what you want in a play-making safety.
Hamilton chose the Irish over a huge pile of offers including the Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines, Clemson Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Stanford Cardinal - and many, many more.
Hamilton is the second safety to commit to the 2019 class, and new safeties coach, Terry Joseph, is largely responsible for both Hamilton’s and Litchfield Ajavon’s commitments. These are big time commitments that Notre Dame is getting in April - but continued success in their senior season’s will mean that Notre Dame will have to lock them down completely until signing day in December.
This is the 8th commitment for Notre Dame for the 2019 class, and the 5th in 5 days (more on that later). It’s clear that Notre Dame is surging with a ton of momentum right now, and with a few big targets left that will make spring decisions, the Irish will press even harder to keep making this already impressive class even better.
