NFL SCOUTING COMBINE: Notre Dame's Equanimeous St. Brown Runs 4.48 40 Yard Dash

St. Brown is getting some serious notice in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine.

It wasn't the season that Equanimeous St. Brown would have hoped for in 2017 with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but he felt that his body of work was enough to skip his final year of eligibility and enter the NFL Draft.

He had a lot of questions to answer at the NFL Combine - both in terms of his mental game as well as his physical game.

St. Brown answered those questions.

Equanimeous put up 20 reps on the bench, which was 4th best among wide receivers, and at 6'5" 215 pounds, he ran a nice 40 yard dash time as well.

  • Run 1: 4.48
  • Run 2: 4.53

It was mentioned with great emphasis that the decline in St. Brown's production from his sophomore year to his junior year was due to the quarterback play at Notre Dame (duh). It was also mentioned that on his film, EQ continually got separation and was open against coverage.

While fans may have rolled their eyes when St. Brown first announced he was entering the draft, the eyes of NFL scouts are popping out with his size and speed. It's still doubtful that St. Brown will go in the first round (although some mocks have him getting picked there) but he is working his way up each draft board with his incredible ophysical traits - as well as his traits that he has as a person.
