Mike McGlinchey, one of the best tackle prospects in the NFL Draft and most likely a first round selection, has chosen to not run the 40 yard dash.
Notre Dame OT Mike McGlinchey tells me he’ll do every drill today except 40. Tweaked hamstring weeks ago, doesn’t want to risk it. ND G Quentin Nelson will do everything today. I think he’d chew glass if asked. #NFLCombine

McGlinchey tweaked his hamstring a few weeks ago, and given the stakes and his already high draft grade, this is an option that shouldn't hurt him too much -if at all.
McGlinchey already did his bench reps yesterday and did a very respectable 27 reps. He will participate in the remaining NFL Scouting Combine events as he prepares for the NFL Draft.
We can probably expect Mike to run his 40 at Notre Dame's upcoming Pro Day.
