The Notre Dame Fighting Irish football program will hold its pro day for NFL scouts on Thurday, March 22nd at the Guglielmino Athletics Complex and Loftus Sports Center. There will be nine former players that will participate in the day’s events:
- Running Back, Josh Adams
- Offensive Lineman, Mike McGlinchey
- Offensive Lineman, Quenton Nelson
- Tight End, Durham Smythe
- Wide Receiver, Equanimeous St. Brown
- Quarterback, Malik Zaire
- Linebacker, Greer Martini
- Linebacker, Nyles Morgan
- Defensive Lineman, Andrew Trumbetti
You read that correctly... Malik Zaire. If you didn’t know by now, the former Irish signal caller that transferred to the Florida Gators will be on hand to throw passes and do other workouts. (Much like Everett Golson before him).
The day will begin at NOON, and will include 3 stations:
Station 1
- 40 Yard Dash
- 20/10 Yard Dash
Station 2
- Pro Shuttle
- L-Drill
Station 3
- 60 Yard Shuttle
Position Drills will begin at 1:00
- Running Back
- Quarterback
- Wide Receiver
- Offensive Line
- Defensive Line
- Linebackers
The media will be on hand to watch the pro day, and will be able to interview the players after the event.
Morgan, Zaire, Martini, and Trumbetti were not invited to the NFL Draft Combine, so this will be a HUGE day for those four players. Josh Adams was invited to the combine but did not workout - so he too will have to show out to help his draft stock.
