You Already Know What It Is

Welcome back to the weekly report. The Number 5 Notre Dame Women’s Basketball team is good, folks. This is not news. Let’s see how the team continued domination this past week.

Last Week’s Games

UVA: Last Thursday, the Irish took on the UVA Cavaliers in Charlottesville. As always, the ladies never miss a beat. After starting the game 5-6 from the field, the score was 11-2. It continued to be not close. A 46-27 lead at halftime turned to 67-48 after 3 quarters and a 10-0 run. The final score for this one was 83-69. UVA cut it to that final score, but the game was not even that close. Arike Ogunbowale had 27 points in this one.

BC: This past Sunday, the Irish traveled to Boston College for the last road game of the season. More of the same story from the game against UVA. The Irish had suffocating defense, especially in the second half, combining with very strong offense. Relative to games this season, the first half was close. After a 19-12 lead after one quarter, the Eagles made six three-point shots to stay within 9 points at half, losing 39-20. Luckily, the Irish never relented. A 15-3 run in the third led to the score opening up. Another 12-2 run in the fourth quarter shut the door on the game - final score: 89-55. Kristina (Koko) Nelson had a career high 16 points. Also, 64 of the 89 total points were in the paint. Insane.
