The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are returning a lot of talent in 2018. While most of that talent is on the defensive side of the ball, the offense still has like 7 starters returning. If you're wondering why the advanced stats early rankings are giving the Irish love - it's because of all of these players coming back to South Bend.

The proof will be in Phil Steele's annual preseason magazine. He will make a big deal about it and plug it often (as well as telling the world how right he is all the time while only offering about two new sentences for each team compared to the year before).
While it's an awesome stat to look at, and it can help make you feel better about the upcoming season, it all really depends on the confidence you have in those that are returning.
So, as we head into spring football here in a few weeks; what position group has your confidence? Which one aren't you really worried about?

This might get a little tricky with new coaches in certain spots, as well as the usual attrition of injuries, transfers, and #NotreDameOffseason. So... good luck (I just know you are all going to pick QB).
PLEASE give your reasons for your vote in the comments below (or at least list your concerns for one of the groups you didn't vote for).
