This Week: Specific Takes

Some of the takes have been very generic lately.....ND Wins....Book throws for 65+%.....but some other takes have been incredibly specific. I think this week would be an interesting opportunity to have very very specific takes, which makes them all the more fun. I’ll post my examples below, so feel free to follow suit!

How’d we do last week?

Every week, I will feature the Most Interesting, Most Wildly Inaccurate, and Most Accurate Takes from the previous week. Here we go!

Interesting

Love a good Lava Hot Take. This one didn’t pan out, but I love hoping for pure madness! Also, any mention of the Annexation of Puerto Rico gets a big time shout out in my book.

Wildly Inaccurate

Tough Day for our friend Sexual_Chocolate (my favorite commenter name). Fortunately we did not see Tom Brady, as Clayton Thorson completed 55% of his throws for only 141 yards.

Accurate

Julian Okwara finished with 2.5 Sacks, so this was not too far off JDriveSthND! Also finishing with 5 sacks and 6 TFLs isn’t a bad day either!

And Now onto the Specific Takes for the upcoming matchup between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Florida State Seminoles.

Specific Cold Take

We see a rushing touchdown from someone other than Dexter Williams, Tony Jones Jr., Jafar Armstrong, Ian Book, AND OR Brandon Wimbush.

I think this is a week where the Irish should be able to dominate. They will (hopefully) get up by a comfortable margin and allow for some of the backups to get in on a drive towards the end of this game. Look for Avery David, or some of the young gun freshman to get into the end zone. I have not given up on Davis yet, I still think he has a place in the Irish offense, but most likely not until next year.

Specific Hot Take

We have 2 strip sacks, one of which is returned for a touchdown by Tevon Coney after being forced by Julian Okwara

How great does that play sound? I feel like everyone (myself included) can visualize this happening and it makes me so incredibly happy. Okwara power rushing off the outside with a big swat, only for the ball to bounce into the arms of the scooping and scoring Coney. Is there anything in this world so beautiful?

Your Takes: Please leave your takes below (hot, cold medium-any temp). I will feature the Top Takes next week. GO IRISH!

LATE ADDITION SCORCH TAKE

BRANDON WIMBUSH PLAYS INSPIRED IN RELIEF OF IAN BOOK AND LIGHTS UP FSU (completes over 60%). HE OPENS THE GAME WITH A BOMB FOR A TD LIKE HOLIDAY TO ARNAZ BATTLE IN 2002! THIS IS BASED OFF OF NO FACTS, SIMPLY MY GUT. PEOPLE FORGET HE’S 12-3.
