The Notre Dame Fighting Irish finished the regular season last weekend with a defeat of the USC Trojans to finish the season 12-0. By this point, I’m sure you all know that, but it still feels great to say, right? Well, while most of the teams in contention still have a game to play, Notre Dame looks like a lock to make the College Football Playoff now that they are officially still the #3 team in nation after the reveal of the latest CFP rankings.

Alabama and Clemson remain the clear #1 and #2. With Michigan’s big loss to Ohio State over the weekend, the Wolverines fell back to #7 from #4. Georgia rises to #4 spot in their place. Ohio State joins the top six this week after the aforementioned Michigan game.
