The Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball team have their captains for next season, as head coach Mik Aoki announced that LHP Cameron Brown and OF/IF Eric Gilgenbach will take that role.
Brown, a junior, pitched in 18 games for the Irish last season, making 6 starts. He is the second most experienced pitcher returning on the Irish staff in terms of innings pitched with 58.0.
Gilgenbach, a senior, led the team last year with 10 home runs and 45 RBI. Gilgenbach was named to the third team all-ACC after the season, the first conference honors of his career and one of three Irish players to receive conference honors last year.
