The Notre Dame Fighting Irish released their depth chart for the upcoming game against the Navy Midshipmen in San Diego, California. Once again... the offense gets shifted around a little bit (with big bits).

Notre Dame is making a move that comes as little surprise to those of us that cover the Irish. Aaron Banks will now be the starter at left guard, and Trevor Ruhland will move over to the right guard position where he will share time with Tommy Kraemer. The loss of Alex Bars and the struggles of Kraemer made this move more and more likely.
Notre Dame gets back Jafar Armstrong this week, and the depth chart at running back has all 6 backs listed for the first time all season.

While nothing has changed along the depth chart for the Irish defense, the really solid play from freshman TaRiq Bracy against Pitt, gives Notre Dame a few more options. They are still struggling with what to do at the Nickel, but that may change with how Bracy develops. (They won’t be using the nickel much against Navy anyways).

There is a slight change this week. Ian Book is no longer the starter at holder as that job has been took over by Nolan Henry. The kickoff teams are never listed, but I am curious as to who is playing on that unit this week after another poor performance this year.
