The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are bringing in a really good recruiting class for the 2018 cycle. It’s currently the number 8 ranked class in the country according to the 247 Sports Composite. The class has 21 players signed and another committed to sending his NLI on National Signing Day. Of those 22 recruits, 12 of them are defensive recruits.

While the class is very good, skeptics will point out that once again the Irish are without a 5 star ranked player. That, however, may change soon for two reasons:
- Notre Dame remains one of the front-runners to sign 5 Star offensive lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere.
- 4 Star defensive tackle Jayson Ademilola was impressive enough in San Antonio last week that he may get that 5th star before it’s all said and done.
Regardless of all of that, the class looks to be a very strong addition. If you’re a recruiting nut, or even just a casual observer, I’m sure you have your favorite recruit in the class. Putting favoritism aside, I want to know who you think is the best recruit that the Irish have in the fold right now.
