A Huge Weekend Coming Up For Notre Dame Football Recruiting

Big stuff happening on Notre Dame’s campus this weekend. Who’s coming?

You already know that recruiting never stops for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (and well... everywhere else). That non-stopping action will be on fire this weekend in South Bend as the Irish host a couple of targets for its 2018 class, as well as a whole bunch of prospects from the 2019 class for Notre Dame’s Junior Day.

So let’s take a look at who’s coming (or who is expected to come) and get a better feel for how the 2018 class will end and how the 2019 class will start.

FINISHING UP WITH 2018

Even with Junior Day going on, Notre Dame has two official visitors that will be on hand.

THE HOTTEST TAKE: Think about this for a minute... if the Irish get the recruits that they want, there probably isn’t any room for either prospect. Getting a commitment out of either means your Signing Day wishlist has a giant black mark or two.

Still... I like both prospects a lot. While Flemister could be considered a big need right now after the departures of Deon McIntosh and C.J. Holmes, I don’t think he has an offer that Notre Dame will wait on (much like Lawrence Keys III). Eason doesn’t exactly have the greatest offer list, but if the Virginia Tech Hokies and Bud Foster want him - I can accept that he is better than his ranking.

JUNIOR DAY LINEUP

Please keep in mind that every Junior Day has its share of no-shows. So, despite being on this list, Recruit X may not make it. It’s not a good start, but it doesn’t mean that the Irish are out of the picture - especially this early on in the process.

Yes, there is no quarterback on this list, but the Irish have 4 Star Cade McNamara already committed to Notre Dame’s 2019 class.

Again, there may be no commitments shortly after these visits, but this is mostly major groundwork for both the prospects and the school. It is nice that Jacob Lacey will be around as a current commit to help assist with this large and talented bunch.

NEWS OF NOTE THAT YOU SHOULD TAKE NOTE

4 Star cornerback Noah Boykin decommitted from the Maryland Terrapins.

Don’t get your hopes up. When Boykin visited Notre Dame, he wanted to commit to the Irish, but he also wanted to tell Maryland first that he was decommitting. He didn’t do it - for whatever reason. Now, the Florida Gators got involved, and Boykin just took a visit there. Basically... he’s all Gator until someone tells me otherwise.
