Stop me if you heard this before.. Brian Kelly, the head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football program, might be interested in heading to the NFL. Rumors of Kelly's interest in becoming a head coach at the professional level have been rampant since the 2012 season. It was then, right before Notre Dame's game against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the BCS Championship game, that Kelly interviewed for the Philadelphia Eagles.
1) Notre Dame HC Brian Kelly might be looking for a way out. We’re told he had eyes for the NFL, one source said he interviewed for #Bears job.

If Brian Kelly interviewed with the Chicago Bears, I have a hard time believing that it was able to remain this quiet. I don't, however, have a hard time believing that he would take that interview.
Brian Kelly may very well be looking for a way out - this much I do believe could be true. Regardless of whether or not some fans were disappointed in this season, he did take a 4-8 team and turned it into a 10-3 team (and against a much tougher schedule than the year before).
I imagine that these Kelly rumors will only continue (and become more widespread) until the day he leaves South Bend in a UHaul.
