Notre Dame Football: Defensive Tackle Elijah Taylor To Transfer

Here comes another transfer during transfer season.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish may have Jerry Tillery returning for his senior year, but fellow junior defensive tackle Elijah Taylor is transferring.

Taylor suffered a Lisfranc injury, had surgery, and did not play for the Irish for the entire 2017 season.

Taylor was a coveted four star recruit from Cincinnati, and had offers from all over the country- including the Ohio State Buckeyes. His injury forced the Irish to play a few freshmen last year in Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa and Kurt Hinish.

These type of transfers are fairly common across the country, and it may not be the last for Notre Dame in the coming weeks. With signing day fast approaching, Notre Dame is still two scholarships over the limit with the hopes of 3 or four more recruits to be added to the 2018 class.
