The Notre Dame Fighting Irish scored two touchdowns in five and half minutes last week. They did it even faster against the Miami-Ohio Redhawks this week.
Linebacker Greer Martini leaped and tipped a Gus Ragland pass to himself, and then proceeded to lumber 42 yards before being tripped up. Seven plays later, Brandon Wimbush nearly walked into the end zone from one yard out.
Wimbush now has eight rushing touchdowns on the year. The Notre Dame record for a season is 10, set by DeShone Kizer in 2015.
The Irish now lead the Redhawks, 14-7, with 8 minutes remaining in the first quarter.
