The Notre Dame Fighting Irish return home this Saturday to take on the Miami-Ohio Redhawks, led by former Notre Dame offensive coordinator Chuck Martin. Here are the depth charts for the afternoon showdown in South Bend.
Notre Dame Offensive Depth Chart VS North Carolina
|Equanimeous St. Brown||Durham Smythe||Mike McGlinchey||Quenton Nelson||Sam Mustipher||Alex Bars||Tommy Kraemer||Cameron Smith||Chris Finke||Josh Adams||Brandon Wimbush|
|Miles Boykin||Alize Mack||Liam Eichenberg||Joshua Lugg||Trevor Ruhland||Hunter Bivin||Robert Hainsey||Michael Young||Chase Claypool||Dexter Williams||Ian Book|
|Nic Weishar||OR CJ Sanders||OR Tony Jones Jr.||Montgomery VanGorder|
|OR Brock Wright||OR Deon McIntosh|
|OR Cole Kmet|
Deon McIntosh finds himself listed on the depth chart after filling in due to injuries and receiving the most carries against Michigan State. Having delivered a touchdown, McIntosh has proven he belongs in the conversation at running back. Brian Kelly did state, however, that Tony Jones Jr. should be able to go Saturday, after sitting out against Michigan State with an ankle injury.
Notre Dame Defensive Depth Chart VS North Carolina
|Julian Love||Nick Coleman||Drue Tranquill||Daelin Hayes||Jonathan Bonner||Jerry Tillery||Jay Hayes||Greer Martini||Nyles Morgan||Jalen Elliott||Nick Watkins|
|Shaun Crawford||Isaiah Robertson||Asmar Bilal||OR Andrew Trumbetti||Myron Tagovailola-Amosa||Kurt Hinish||OR Andrew Trumbetti||OR Te'von Coney||Jamir Jones||Devin Studstill||Donte Vaughn|
|Troy Pride Jr.||Julian Okwara||Micah Dew-Treadway||Brandon Tiassum||Khalid Kareem|
The defensive depth chart remains unchanged from one week ago. The defense was opportunistic against the Spartans, as we’ve covered extensively, and has played well for the most part this season. The surprise unit of the fall for the Irish is working so far, and if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
Notre Dame Special Teams Depth Chart VS North Carolina
|Justin Yoon||Justin Yoon||Tyler Newsome||John Shannon||Motgomery VanGorder||Chris Finke||CJ Sanders|
|Jonathan Doerer||Jonathan Doerer||Jeff Riney||Nic Weishar||Tyler Newsome||CJ Sanders||Tony Jones Jr.|
The special teams depth chart has C.J. Sanders and Tony Jones Jr. back to receive kicks, assuming Jones can go Saturday. Kickers, holders, and punt returners are all the same as last week.
The Fighting Irish should have the talent advantage across the board against the RedHawks, but these coaches know each other very well. It will be very interesting to watch for any in-game tweaks or surprises from the two head coaches.
