Welcome to another HAPPY edition of Bagpipe Monday on One Foot Down. Compadres, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 3-1 and even some of the most ardent critics of Brian Kelly and the program can't help but feel pretty good today.

We don't need to rehash all the ridiculous misfortunes of the 2016 season to see that this team is completely different.
But what is so different? Can we really narrow it down to just one thing? Brian Kelly made a ton of offseason changes, so is it mostly Brian Kelly 2.0, or is it one of the major changes made with all of the new assistant coaches?
- Chip Long?
- Mike Elko?
- Matt Balis?
- Brian Kelly 2.0?
- Brandon Wimbush?
WHAT IS BLOODY HELL IS GOING ON HERE?
Notre Dame football actually seems fun again, and seeing Brian Kelly celebrating like a bachelor out on the town for his last night of freedom after Notre Dame's 38-18 win over the Michigan State Spartans, seems like such a surreal moment after 4-8.
So what is it?

This isn't THAT fun
The Irish have the Miami-Ohio Redhawks up next, inside a little less red Notre Dame Stadium. Can Notre Dame make playing a MAC team fun? Translation... Can they blow the doors off of a very tough and capable MAC team?
We better hope so, or this whole thing won't be as cool next Monday. Let's be cool.
