Here’s a sensation that Notre Dame Fighting Irish fans haven’t felt in a while: Their team is putting their foot down hard on the gas and not letting up. The Irish now lead the Temple Owls, 28-3, with eight minutes left before halftime.
The Irish just pulled off a eight play, 76 yard drive in 3:40. The capper was a five-yard fade from redshirt sophomore quarterback Brandon Wimbush to junior wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown. St. Brown had to spin more than 180 degrees to locate the ball, which was placed on his back shoulder and outside the defender’s reach.
