Back in July, One Foot Down was informed that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish would wear an alternate uniform for one home game this season. While there was nothing more offered than that, the Notre Dame Football Twitter account published a tweet with an announcement for an unveiling today at noon.
So, here they are:
On November 18th, we come together to honor the man who built it all.

Introducing our ROCKNE Heritage Uniform. pic.twitter.com/7jmysrepFM
The uniform pays tribute to Knute Rockne, and yes... those are brown shoes.
What do you think? The helmet might be a bit much, but I'm going to need at least a couple of hours to process all that they have going on here. I love the direction though.
These will be worn for Notre Dame's last home game of the season against the Navy Midshipmen on November 18.
