As we continue to roll on in our player profile series, we stumble upon one of the most underappreciated players on this Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. He is an elder on the offensive line, stands at 6’6 and weighs in at 318 lbs, and is from Apollo High School in Owensboro, Kentucky. Without further ado, let’s jump right into it.

3 Things to Know about Hunter Bivin

  1. Was Ranked by 247 Sports as the 43rd best player in his class.
  2. He claimed the Kentucky 3A State Prep Shot Put Title in 2012, with a distance of 55 feet, 3.75 inches.
  3. He majors in Political Science, and is taking a three semester long Master of Science in Management program.

YouTube Hot Fire

Hunter Bivin’s limited action and his not-so-highlight-friendly position prohibits a jaw dropping video, however this does exemplify the expectations and potential that he had as a recruit for the Irish.

2017 Outlook

Hunter Bivin should reclaim his role as the “jack of all trades” backup along the offensive line. He will likely be in a supporting role as the first man called on should any of the starting offensive lineman go down. This is an incredibly important role to fill that can and will be vital to this offense’s success. For this reason we should appreciate Bivin’s place on this team, but let’s hope nothing forces him into a starting role.
