The Notre Dame Fighting Irish continue to add Southeastern Conference foes to their future schedules. This time it’s the Arkansas Razorbacks, whom the Irish have never played.

The two teams will clash Sept. 12, 2020 at Notre Dame Stadium and Oct. 4, 2025 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.

“Whenever we have an opponent come to Notre Dame Stadium for the first time, there’s another layer of interest in the game. The same is true for our program and fans when we play away from home at a first-time venue,” said Notre Dame Athletics Director Jack Swarbrick in a statement. “That is especially likely to be true of these games given the quality and tradition of the two programs.”

The Irish also have forthcoming games with SEC members Georgia Bulldogs (2017, 2019) and Texas A&M Aggies (2024, 2025).

The 2020 schedule now looks like this:

Sept. 5 vs. Navy Midshipmen (MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J.)
Sept. 12 vs. Arkansas
Sept. 19 at Purdue Boilermakers
Sept. 26 vs. Wake Forest Demon Deacons (Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte)
Oct. 10 vs. Stanford Cardinal
Nov. 14 at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Nov. 28 at USC Trojans
Dates to be determined: vs. Louisville Cardinals, vs. Clemson Tigers, vs. Duke Blue Devils and at Pittsburgh Panthers

Notre Dame still has two common open dates with the BYU Cougars in 2020 to make good on their promised 2-for-1 series announced in 2010, although a trip to Provo a week before Los Angeles seems unlikely.

As for the 2025 schedule, this is what is known:

Sept. 13 vs. Purdue
Sept. 27 vs. Texas A&M
Oct. 4 at Arkansas
Dates to be determined: at Miami-Florida Hurricanes, at Boston College Eagles, at Pittsburgh, vs. N.C. State Wolfpack, vs. Syracuse Orange
