WATCH: Brian Kelly Is Optimistic And Enthusiastic About The Future Of Notre Dame Football

There haven't been any subtle ways to say that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish went 4-8 last season. The offseason has been brutal in terms of memories for the Notre Dame fans, but Brian Kelly stated that it was "fuel" for the players and coaching staff.

Despite the usual Kelly lexicon that was used, I couldn't help but notice a real sense of enthusiasm coming from him. The way he was just listing off names left and right when talking about generic questions of, "what players stand out" was way different than years past.

Kelly made it a huge priority to be more available to the players, and it seems to be quite noticeable already. Even Kelly seemed proud/amazed at himself with the manner in which he talked about the roster.

This is good news for Irish fans as we were told there were changes coming in the way BK does things, and most of us would agree that those changes would be a great start.
