“I would say we’ve been working on that for awhile and I’m very, hopefully very soon we’ll be able to make an announcement,” Packers President Mark Murphy told Scout’s Green Bay Packers site following Monday’s shareholders meeting. “What we’d like to is, and I mentioned it, have a big, major event in the bowl every year. I thought last year the Wisconsin-LSU game was very positive, and the Billy Joel concert, and obviously I think a Notre Dame-Wisconsin game would be pretty special.”
The Badgers and Irish, who have not met on a football field since 1964, would play at Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears, as well as the game at Lambeau, according to the Chicago Tribune and Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
The games would be played after 2019, unless the Badgers renege on commitments they made to Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, New Mexico Lobos and BYU Cougars (2018) or South Florida Bulls, Central Michigan Chippewas and North Texas Mean Green (2019).
The Irish hold an 8-6-2 record in the series, with the last win in the series being Ara Parseghian’s first as Notre Dame head coach.
The Badgers played the LSU Tigers at Lambeau Field last year, attracting 77,823 fans. The Packers paid the University of Wisconsin $3 million — equal to their typical home game take — and $2.5 million to LSU. The economic impact of the game was more than $13.5 million to the Green Bay area, according to Packer Report.
The Irish are 10-0-2 all-time at Soldier Field, including a 41-3 dismantling of the Miami-Florida Hurricanes during the 2012 Shamrock Series.
What do you think about Wisconsin & ND playing at Lambeau and Soldier Field?

Too much home-field advantage for Wisconsin.
Notre Dame fans will pack both stadiums.
I’d rather ND shun the Big Ten like the Big Ten shunned them 100 years ago.
