The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are busting their butts to assemble a top 10 recruiting class for the 2018 cycle, and a big part of that possible success will be in Oregon for The Opening.
What Is The Opening?
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few years (or just don’t follow college football recruiting) The Opening is a “campetition” that oversees the best recruits in the country. The Elite 11, Individual testing, Lineman Challenge, and 7 on 7 championship. Nike Football organizes and administers the event. Nike has evaluated over 4000 athletes at 13 regional events all over the country. Worthy prospects were given invitations to the Finals in Beaverton, Oregon.
The even begins today with the arrival, and will continue through Monday, July 3.
Representing Notre Dame
Although college coaches are forbidden to attend these type of recruiting camps, Notre Dame is well represented this year with 5 commitments that received invitations.
