Next on the list for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish is rising Sophomore Defensive End Julian Okwara. The Soph from Charlotte, NC is just under 6’5, and weighed in during his *“Built by Balis”* picture at 230lbs. Julian came into Notre Dame known for being the younger brother of former Irish standout and current New York Giant Romeo Okwara. Julian made an impact on special teams as a true freshman, appearing in 11 games, totaling 4 tackles.
3 Things to Know About Julian Okwara

You cannot teach athleticism and size, and he’s got both, which is nice......
I, Philly G, Dub Thee.....
“Julian Okwara”. He will define himself enough this year that he will lose the constant mention of his older brother....thus his nickname is simply...his name
Julian was a constant presence on special teams, which is always very promising sign for young defensive ends. He will make his way into the rotation and back up and provide relief for Daelin Hayes. He does not quite have the freakish size and speed of Hayes, but I do not think there will be too drastic of a drop off when he enters the game. I am predicting that he will have a multi-sack game this year, most likely due to some end of game garbage time, but he will perform when given the chance.
