A.J. Pollock - OF, Arizona Diamondbacks
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/8674091/683122970.jpg)
Week 10 Stats: N/A
2017 Stats: .299 (BA)/.337 (OBP)/.455 (SLG), 2 HR, 11 RBI, 11 SB, 26 R, 9 BB, 29 K
Pollock has been sidelined for almost a month with a groin injury. On Sunday the AP reported that Pollock is scheduled to resume running at 100% sometime this week, so he is making some progress. He may have to take part in a rehab assignment before returning, as Arizona manager Tony Lovullo told reporters on Sunday that he’d like to see his centerfield play in a few games before returning to the big league club.
Jeff Samardzija - SP, San Francisco Giants
Week 10 Stats: 2 GS, 13.2 IP, 10 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 16 K, W-L: 1-1
2017 Stats: 2-8, 4.31 ERA, 84 H, 41 ER, 12 BB, 100 K, .257 BAA
Samardzija turned in his best start of the year in his first start last week. He tossed 7.2 scoreless innings, scattering six hits, while striking out 10 and walking none in San Francisco’s 7-2 win over Milwaukee. In his second start of the week, Samardzija was good, but not good enough to lead his team to victory. On Saturday he went 6.0 innings, giving up three runs on four hits, striking out six and walking one. After a rough month of April, Samardzija has righted the ship. In May and June he owns an ERA of 3.16 in 54.1 innings pitched, which is a stark contrast to the 6.32 ERA he sported in 31.1 April innings. Samardzija’s next start will take place on Friday at Colorado.
David Phelps - RP, Miami Marlins

Week 10 Stats: 2 G, 2.0 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, W-L: 0-1
2017 Stats: 2-3, 3.77 ERA, 29 H, 13 ER, 10 BB, 33 K, .246 BAA
Phelps was roughed up on Saturday in Pittsburgh as he blew a save and took the loss after giving up three earned in just one inning of work. It’s not all bad for Phelps though, he’s been fairly dominant as those the four earned he gave up this past week were his first since April 21st.
Trey Mancini - 3B/1B/OF, Baltimore Orioles
Week 10 Stats: 4/19 (.210), 2 R, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 2 BB, 5 K
2017 Stats: .284/.331/.510, 9 HR, 30 RBI, 15 R, 8 2b, 11 BB, 44 K
Mancini gave Baltimore fans a thrill last Wednesday as he jacked game-tying and walk-off homers in the 9th and 11th innings to lift the O’s past the Pittsburgh Pirates. Mancini continues a strong rookie campaign as he now has nine homers and 30 RBIs, all while hitting .284 and having an OBP of .331.
John Axford - RP, Oakland Athletics
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/8674185/693941186.jpg)
Week 10 Stats: 4 G, 4.1 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 1 HD, W-L: 0-0
2017 Stats: 0-0, 5.40 ERA, 12 H, 6 ER, 6 BB, 11 K, .279 BAA
Axford rebounded last week after getting shelled in week nine. Last week he turned in a spotless sheet, as he didn’t give up a run in four appearances out of Oakland’s bullpen. If last week is any indication, Axford may be returning to form after spending the first two months on the DL
Craig Counsell - Mgr., Milwaukee Brewers

2017 Stats: W-L: 33-31
Despite the 3-4 record last week, Milwaukee is still in first place in the National League Central, as the Chicago Cubs have yet to take off like everyone expected.
