We continue our player profile series with junior quarterback Nolan Henry out of Vancouver, Washington. Henry’s playing experience in an Irish uniform is nonexistent, but he has shown his value on the offensive scout team during his tenure with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Henry is a walk-on who you won’t see on the field, but he’ll make a mark off of it with the scout team.
3 Things to Know about Nolan Henry
- Henry saw plenty of success during his time at Union High School. He set 15 different records during his time as a Titan, including most career completions and highest career completion percentage. A captain for three years, he led his team to three straight state quarterfinal appearances.
- Despite the high school successes, his career was cut short due to injury during his senior season.
- Henry was buried in the quarterback depth chart last season, listed as the sixth quarterback on the roster. He’ll move up a tad with the departure of Deshone Kizer and Malik Zaire.
YouTube Hot Fire
We don’t have any collegiate hot fire on Henry, but here’s some scalding plays during his high school days that you can enjoy.
I, RyChi, Dub Thee...
Nolan “Remember the Titans” Henry. Your high school days saw a lot of great moments and personal domination, but it unfortunately is not appearing to materialize at the collegiate level.
2017 Forecast
This isn’t like a weather forecast where everything predicted turns out to be wrong. Henry will spend his junior season on the scout team and/or giving Brandon Wimbush an added perspective on opponents he will be facing this season.
Barring a landslide of injuries at the quarterback position, you won’t be seeing Henry on the gridiron this year. But hey, he’s on the roster, he contributes to the team in his own way, and this player profile series shows everybody some love.
