Two Irish Hockey Alums Still Alive in Playoffs
Ian Cole and Bryan Rust were not only teammates in South Bend, but they are also currently teammates with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The two took home the Stanley Cup last season, and once again are primed for another run at it. Pittsburgh quickly swept the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round. Rust and Cole played huge roles. Rust tallied four goals for Pittsburgh, while Cole chipped in with three assists. Pittsburgh will able to take some time off, as they will get the winner of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals.
