It’s game week for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as they wind spring practice down, and prepare for the annual Blue-Gold Game on Saturday.
I have, and will always maintain that spring football is important to the team. However, I am equally adamant about the spring period not being as important for fans. There is so much we are unable to see as the team works towards its goals, that putting too much faith into what small glimpses we do see is foolish and naive.
Still, we do wait with eager anticipation at what we might see this fall, and in doing so, we ask questions and look for answers.
- Who will win the RT job?
- What’s an RPO?
- Will Brandon Wimbush take snaps under center?
- Will we witness the return of a fullback?
- Is there such a thing as “X,Y, and Z”?
- Will Tony Jones Jr. take over the whole damn thing?
Again, we have more questions than answers, but perhaps Saturday will provide a little more of the latter.
