Notre Dame Gets A Double Bye In The ACC Tournament Bracket As The 3 Seed

Notre Dame was the #3 seed in 2015 too. Just saying....

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish may have lost the game Saturday against the Louisville Cardinals, but thanks to a great ACC season and other results from the day, the Irish will be the number 3 seed in the 2017 ACC Tournament.

Notre Dame gets the all-important “double-bye” this year, and according to the ACC Tournament bracket, they will play Thursday at 9:00 PM against the winner of Pitt/Georgia Tech VS Virginia.

The seeding is as follows:

  1. North Carolina Tar Heels
  2. Florida State Seminoles
  3. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
  4. Louisville Cardinals
  5. Duke Blue Devils
  6. Virginia Cavaliers
  7. Virginia Tech Hokies
  8. Syracuse Orange
  9. Miami-Florida Hurricanes
  10. Wake Forest Demon Deacons
  11. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
  12. Clemson Tigers
  13. NC State Wolfpack
  14. Pittsburgh Panthers
  15. Boston College Eagles

The Fighting Irish won the 2015 ACC Tournament as the number 3 seed after defeating Duke and North Carolina in back to back games in Charlotte North Carolina. This years tournament will be in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center.
