Less than a month and a half ago, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish got a commitment from 3 star wide receiver, Geordon Porter. Today, Porter took to Twitter and announced that he had changed his mind and was decommiting from the Irish.

Porter talks about the Notre Dame staff being first class, but from what I can gather, Notre Dame was told of his decision in the same way we all were... they read it on Twitter. Porter did not talk to Notre Dame about decommiting today - and Kelly and Alexander were just at his house the other day for a few hours.
We can take his reasoning in a lot of different ways, but it could be that he doesn't like that Notre Dame is in such active pursuit of so many wide receivers still. Speedy 4 Star Braden Lenzy (who recently decommited from the Oregon Ducks) might be the straw that broke Porter's back. Notre Dame is in hot pursuit of Lenzy, and could very well get a commitment from the one-time Irish commit.
This is all very crazy.
We will have much more on OFD about Notre Dame's recruiting efforts moving forward this weekend as we all prepare ourselves for Christmas and early signing day.
