Notre Dame Football Recruiting: 3 Star Offensive Tackle Luke Jones Flips From Arkansas To Irish

The Irish continue to add to the 2018 class with some southern beef.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish aren't done with their 2018 class - far from it. The Irish just flipped 3 Star offensive tackle Luke Jones away from the Arkansas Razorbacks. Notre Dame has turned up the heat on Jones since the firing of Bert Bielema at the end of the season.

Keep in mind that the early signing period was over on December 22, so this commitment isn't OFFICIAL until National Signing Day on February 7th.

Notre Dame wants to add 4 offensive lineman in this class, and Jones constitutes the third. The Irish are still after and very much in the mix with 5 Star offensive tackle, Nicholas Petit-Frere. If they are able to land Frere, a class with Luke Jones, Cole Mabry, and John Dirksen would be a great haul.

Notre Dame is still in a numbers crunch and it keeps getting tighter with each commitment. In the latest scholarship chart, Notre Dame is six scholarships over the 85 man limit for 2018. I put Josh Adams back on the list after the news today. Although that is still cloudy, I think we should move forward as if he will be a part of the team in 2018.
