Notre Dame Football: Brian Kelly Says Brandon Wimbush's Struggles Are Not Mental

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish had many issues in November, but the one with the biggest spotlight was the struggles that Brandon Wimbush had throwing the football. In a press conference Saturday afternoon, Kelly wanted to make sure he got his thoughts about Wimbush out there, and he was determined to state that the problems Brandon had were not mental.

Okay.

Besides that, Kelly talked about:

• His pleasure of having the early signing period on December 20.
• Chase Claypool injured his shoulder and will be out for the Citrus Bowl against the LSU Tigers.
• Scheduling, and in particular, the Shamrock Series game against the Syracuse Orange.
• A TON of sports analogies that he acknowledged were no good.
