GAME THREAD: #3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs Wake Forest Demon Deacons

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are just a few hours away from continuing their march towards the college football playoffs when they take on ACC foe, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. On the surface, this game has all the makings of a TRAP game since it's in between the big game last week against the Wolfpack, and next week with its game against the Miami-Florida Hurricanes.

However... we "luck out" a bit with Wake Forest being the former home of Irish coaches Mike Elko and Clark Lea. So, that should help provide enough juice to keep the team focused and on point.

I cringe a bit saying this, but "style points" are definitely needed with a win to help solidify Notre Dame's position in the college football playoff rankings. It's certainly possible for the Irish do get those points, but there is also a chance that this game turns out to be a bit closer than any of us would want.
