Holding Steady

Earlier tonight, the fourth installment of the 2017 College Football Playoff rankings were released. After winning on Saturday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish remain at number 8, not moving after last week’s rankings.

Here are the rest of the Top 25:

Rankings of Note

The Miami-Florida Hurricanes and the Clemson Tigers trade spots from last week, so the Top 4 as of now is the Alabama Crimson Tide, Miami, Clemson, and the Oklahoma Sooners.

The Georgia Bulldogs remain 1 spot right ahead of the Irish at Number 7. The USC Trojans are at number 11, while the Michigan State Spartans are at number 16.

With the Stanford Cardinal coming in at number 21, the Irish face one more game this season, and it is against a ranked opponent. If Notre Dame takes care of business on Saturday night in Palo Alto, a New Year’s Six Bowl should be a lock for the Irish.
