The Notre Dame Fighting Irish got their asses handed to them last week by the Miami-Florida Hurricanes 41-8. It was an all too familiar ending to another BIG game on the road for the Irish. It pretty much sealed the end of a Notre Dame playoff run, and made so much of what was awesome this season look like a sham.
While the loss doesn't change the fact that this is one of the best Notre Dame teams in the past 24 years (probably somewhere in the top 5 since 1988) it certainly left a bad taste in the mouths of Irish fans.
Notre Dame has made good on its "revenge" battle cry this season in response to the 4-8 campaign of last year, and another team on its list is the Navy Midshipmen. (So maybe we should have lost to Miami last year?)
The game thread is open below. I know many of us are on Twitter for most of the game, but I encourage you to vent and do other things that require more than 280 characters here.
Ready to sail into Saturday's last home game at 3:30 p.m. on NBC.
