OFD Staff Picks: Notre Dame vs Navy

We are only hours away from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish versus the Navy Midshipmen. It's been a tough year for the Middies as they went on a roll to get in the top 25, and then plummeted by losing three straight. If this would have been a ranked Navy team, fans could have honestly wondered about ESPN's College GameDay making an appearance. Yeah... this week is that bad.

10 years ago, things went from bad to OH MY GOD LET'S BURN DOWN THE WHOLE DAMN THING. Navy came to South Bend and became the most memorable loss for the Irish in a 3-9 campaign.

Things are much different for Notre Dame right now, and despite that major setback last week, the Irish still have a chance to make this the best season since 2012, and the 2nd best since the 1993 season. 1993 was 24 years away... so if you're hating on this year, I think it's time to grow up and realize what a good year this actually is for Notre Dame.
