Little bit of a roller coaster here, folks.
After one half of the game here at Notre Dame Stadium for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. the N.C. State Wolfpack, we find ourselves with a score of 21-14, the Irish lead.
It’s been a back and forth game so far. We saw a slow start for the Irish as well as resiliency from both sides.

Notable Plays
The Irish started off slow, and it somewhat showed. Tyler Newsome had a punt blocked by James Smith-Williams from the Irish goal line. The Wolfpack’s Germaine Pratt scooped the ball up to score the TD and take the 7-0 lead.
However, after that the Irish seemed to gain more of a rhythm, with a TD pass from Brandon Wimbush to Durham Smythe.
NC State responded with a TD drive of their own to make it 14-7.
After that, though, the Irish put together a TD drive culminated by a Wimbush TD run. That run got Brandon the record for most rush TDs in a season by a Notre Dame quarterback (11).
After a defensive stop (#DBoyz), the Irish capped off another TD drive with a Wimbush pass to Kevin Stepherson to make the score 21-7, which is how we ended the first half.
Josh Adams
During the first half, Josh Adams got to over 1000 rushing yards on the season. With that, he has become the fastest running back (least amount of carries) to reach 1000 rushing yards in a season in Notre Dame history.
