The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been one of the surprise teams in college football this year - a year in which there have been so many surprises. Tonight, for example, the Boston College Eagles just beat the Florida State Seminoles 35-3.
Think about that for a second. One of the supposed weak links on the Irish schedule just stomped the shit out of the preseason #3 team that actually had first place votes. All I’ll add to this, is that Notre Dame’s success this year is very, very real, and another victory on Saturday against a quality opponent like the N.C. State Wolfpack, and the Irish will be on the tip of every tongue that talks about college football.
