The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are in a position to make a serious run to the college football playoff, and that reality was strengthened by Saturday’s 49-14 win over the USC Trojans. Another reality is that nothing else matters but the game before you.

Brian Kelly and Notre Dame are set to host the N.C. State Wolfpack in another Top 25 matchup inside Notre Dame Stadium. Last year, some of the worst of what Brian Kelly had become was on display while playing in a hurricane.

Some fans have actually called for this site to apologize for holding Brian Kelly accountable during a 4-8 campaign that was incredibly awful on so many levels. So awful it was, Brian Kelly kept his job, but only after making sweeping changes across the whole program - including with himself.
