The Notre Dame Fighting Irish made a huge statement to the country by completely destroying the USC Trojans 49-14.
Notre Dame was in the driver’s seat from start to finish as they hammered Southern Cal with a punishing defense, and a nice mix of run and pass in the first half. It was apparent that Notre Dame wanted to get Kevin Stepherson involved in the game, and they found multiple ways to get him the football. That included a 23 yard TD reception.
Notre Dame went into the half up 28-0.
While the Trojans finally got on the scoreboard in the second half, Sam Darnlod and company just couldn’t overcome earlier mistakes and turnovers that put them in such a big hole.
Josh Adams had a HUGE night for the Irish, rushing for over 190 yards and 3 touchdowns. He’s making his case for a Heisman invite, and it’s a serious one.
