It is great to see Notre Dame come out and dominate an inferior opponent. I could choose from any number of players to look into. That is always a good problem to have when covering this team. With that being said, this is who I chose:
Jerry Tillery
He has been awesome this year. I said before the season started that if I could choose one player to be the MVP of the defense I would have picked Jerry Tillery. He was a huge force on Saturday. Tillery finished with 1.5 sacks and 1.5 tackles for loss. With the secondary looking much improved, Jerry Tillery's performances going forward are even more important. The defense is at its best when Tillery is being disruptive in the back field.

Josh Adams
The guy is an absolute workhorse. I would have to say that he has been the most consistent player on the entire football team. Adams finished the game with 8 carries for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Is there a more underrated player in the entire country? I watch a lot of college football and I am not sure there is another running back who does everything Josh Adams does. He is an elite runner, blocker and pass catcher. Josh Adams is better than Saquon Barkley. There, I said it.
The Entire Offensive Line
The big guys up front do not get enough credit. Josh Adams is great but he is running through holes where I could get a few yards. It is so refreshing to see Notre Dame physically dominate an opponent and it starts with the whole offensive line. The Irish could have won this game without throwing a pass. That's when you know the line is blocking well.
The Irish are now 4-1 and will go on the road to a struggling North Carolina team. Please Brian Kelly, keep this team focused for one more game before they get their bye week. Please.
