The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are turning up the pressure on their targets during these last few weeks, and they got another commitment in 4 star wide receiver, Jafar Armstrong while on his official visit.

Armstrong announced via Twitter that he was decommitting from Missouri and re-opening his recruitment.

He did this while on his official visit to Notre Dame, so the suspense of “where” was mostly gone, so the suspense of “when” went out the window as well. His public commitment to the Irish came just a few hours later.
This sort of thing doesn’t usually sit well with the fans of the “dumped” nor with the coaching staff. What is rarely heard about is the current player reactions to such a thing.
Enter Marcell Frazier, a defensive end for the Missouri Tigers:
ND's payroll just got a little larger...

Another Tiger, Donavin Newsom tried to come to the aid of Frazier:
I wouldn't even wasted my time with this man bro. God placed you where you needed to be and where he thought youd best develop as a player. https://t.co/EiEEHF8okX

Ahhh... signing day drama. To be honest, I kind of love this a little bit because 1) it finally seems to be in Notre Dame’s favor and 2) I like the competitive nature of it all.
Now that the scenery is out of the way, let’s just say that Armstrong is a really, really nice commitment and in many respects is a step up from Jordan Pouncey (decommitted from Notre Dame). Notre Dame was in desperate need of one or two receivers in this class and this commitment is in no way “settling for less,” just because the recruitment came at the end of the cycle.
We will keep a sharp eye on Armstrong and the rest of the recruiting world... NATIONAL SIGNING DAY IS DAYS AWAY Y’ALL. More to come on OFD.
