The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a lot of work to do with a week left until National Signing Day. One of the biggest issues with trying to fill the remaining six spots that the Irish have left on the roster, is that many of the targets are already committed to another school. After some hard work already, the Irish were able to get Jordan Genmark Heath to flip his commitment from the California Golden Bears to Notre Dame.

Genmark Heath is a 3 star athlete, according to 247 Sports. Most likely, his position at Notre Dame will be that “rover” in Mike Elko’s defense. The rover is a safety/linebacker hybrid that does a lot of different things in the 4-2-5 defense.
Notre Dame will be looking to add more recruits to the fold over this last week, but this commitment from Genmark Heath is HUGE for the Irish right now.
We will have more on this commitment and possibly others as we creep towards National Signing Day.
