Today Roc Nation Sports announced that they have signed Notre Dame Fighting Irish defensive lineman Isaac Rochell.
Rochell served as a senior captain on this past season’s Irish squad, collecting 56 tackles (5th on team) 7 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and a team-leading 10 QB hurries. He was included on the Nagurski Trophy and Bednarik Award watch lists as well.
A contributor since his freshman season, Rochell finished his career in blue and gold with 168 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 27 QB hurries.
The 6’3.5”, 290-pounder from McDonough, Georgia joins various big-name NFL players who have signed with the sports management company founded by Jay Z, including Todd Gurley, Dez Bryant, Victor Cruz, and Ndamukong Suh.
Fellow 2017 NFL Draft entrants Leonard Fournette and Juju Smith-Schuster have also signed with Roc Nation, and Rochell is the 4th Notre Dame graduate to sign on since the company’s founding in 2013, joining Dallas Wings guard Skylar Diggins, Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, and Seattle Seahawks running back CJ Prosise.
Rochell is projected to be drafted in the middle rounds of the 2017 NFL Draft, likely somewhere in rounds 3-5.
