Equanimeous St. Brown beat his man like a drum and DeShone Kizer found him in the corner of the end zone. The result: a touchdown and - finally - a lead for the Fighting Irish. Check it out:

The 12-yard touchdown puts the Irish back on top.

The Notre Dame defense stepped up a few times on fourth down, got a few stops, and the Notre Dame offense has scored the last 14 points. If you’re Brian Kelly’s squad, these are the moments you build on. It’s pretty clear that the Irish aren’t national contenders this year, but they’re young, and the staff will need teaching points moving forward. This is where you get them.
With the last drive, DeShone Kizer now has a career-high 363 yards through the air. While other aspects of the Notre Dame football team falter and underwhelm, DeShone Kizer continues to impress. The Notre Dame offense has shown that it is stacked for the future, as well, even if Kizer heads off to the NFL next year, with guys like St. Brown, Stepherson, Hunter Jr, Williams and Adams.
